One person was killed when a private plane owned by Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil veered off the runway and crashed into a jet at the Scottsdale Municipal Airport on Monday afternoon. See the airport footage here.

Neil wasn’t aboard his Learjet, which lost control mid-runway and collided with a parked Gulfstream, killing the Learjet’s pilot.

Four others were injured, including Neil’s girlfriend, who broke five ribs. Two of the wounded are in critical condition.

The Learjet experienced left main gear failure upon landing. The incident shut down the airport for six hours as first responders worked the scene.

Article Icon 1‘Fake Electors’ Get a Win in Court

Defendants in the so-called “fake electors” case cleared a major hurdle in court after a judge agreed to examine whether the case violates state laws forbidding prosecution as a form of political silencing.

The 16 defendants, all Republicans, were accused of fraud after turning in documents that claimed Donald Trump defeated Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Two pleaded guilty, while the other 14 say their actions were a free-speech expression to petition the government.

Judge Sam Myers on Monday said the defendants met the burden required to consider dismissal. Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes vowed to appeal the ruling.

Article Icon 1Bill Would Give RVs Residence Status

Legislators are mulling over a law that would provide new protections for people who use motorhomes or RVs as their full-time residence.

The proposed senate bill looks to reverse an Arizona Supreme Court ruling that left one couple homeless after they discovered their RV didn’t qualify as a residence. Watch the report.

The Homestead Act helps prevent those filing for bankruptcy from becoming homeless, but motorhomes and RVs currently don’t qualify under the law.

Senate Bill 1540 would change that, and also make exceptions for people living in houseboats, travel trailers, and fifth wheels. It recently passed a Senate committee unanimously.
