Gas prices are rising across Arizona amid tensions involving Iran, with analysts warning drivers could see further increases in the coming days.

In Phoenix, pump prices averaged $3.54 as of Tuesday, up roughly 12 cents since the conflict began, and about 43 cents higher than a month ago. You can track gas prices in your area here.

Analysts say prices could climb another 20 cents to 55 cents per gallon if oil disruptions tied to Middle East tensions continue.

In Tucson, prices have risen about 20 cents in a week, prompting some residents to fill gas cans as uncertainty over future costs grows.

Three people were injured when a small plane crashed into one home and came to rest in the backyard of another early Wednesday morning near Deer Valley Airport in north Phoenix. Watch the report.

A flight instructor, a flight student, and a homeowner were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash took place while the Piper PA-28 was returning to the airport after a mechanical problem. The plane went down near Cave Creek Road and Deer Valley Drive around 7:20 a.m.

An investigation into the crash continued.

Article Icon 1State AG Seeks Smaller Rate Hike

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes challenged Arizona Public Service’s proposed 14% rate hike, calling that high of an increase unnecessary.

Mayes’ office argues the hike could be cut to about 3% while maintaining reliable service, saving households about $220 per year compared to the higher rate.

APS says the higher rate increase is needed to cover rising operational costs and investments in grid upgrades, power plant improvements, and reliability measures.

If approved by regulators, the new rates would take effect in the second half of this year.
