Article Icon 1Judge Blocks AZ Registration Laws

A federal appeals court ruled to block portions of two Arizona voter registration laws, with Judge Ronald Gould stating that aspects of them are “unlawful measures of voter suppression.”

The ruling examines a pair of bills that former Gov. Doug Ducey signed into law in 2022—one of which required state residents to provide documentary proof of citizenship (DPOC) to vote in federal elections.

The Supreme Court in 2024 ruled Arizona could require DPOC for those registering to vote using a state form, but barred a portion of the bill that required proof if registering with a federal form, which does not ask for DPOC.

The ruling aligned with a lower court’s decision that the state provisions violated federal law, but Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen vowed to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.

The Flyover

Zillow’s co-founder has a big new idea

Spencer Rascoff co-founded Zillow, scaling it into a $16B real estate giant. But everyday investors couldn’t invest until after the IPO, missing early gains.

“I wish we had done a round accessible to retail investors prior to Zillow’s IPO,” Spencer later said.

Now he’s doing just that. Spencer has teamed up with another Zillow exec to launch Pacaso. Pacaso’s co-ownership marketplace is disrupting the $1.3T vacation home market. And unlike Zillow, you can invest in Pacaso as a private company.

With $100M+ in gross profits and rapid international expansion, Pacaso is scaling fast. Investors like Softbank, Maveron, and others are already on board. Even better, the company’s now turning its focus to international markets, giving this disruptive model even more upside than before.

You can join them for $2.70/share— but only if you invest by midnight PST. Take advantage while you still can.
