Morning thunderstorms pummeled the Phoenix area on Tuesday, dropping up to 2 inches of rain in some areas as tropical moisture from Hurricane Polo met a low-pressure system from the west.

The driver of a box truck escaped safely before the truck was swept away by flash floodwaters near New River. Flash flood warnings were issued for areas including Cave Creek, Carefree, New River, and Anthem.

In Tonopah, a motorist stranded on the top of an overturned pickup truck surrounded by floodwaters was airlifted to safety about 8:30 a.m.

The storms triggered a ground delay at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, while crashes and scattered power outages slowed commuters.

The Arizona State Fair opens Thursday at the fairgrounds in Phoenix, adding to a busy stretch of fall events across the Valley.

The Wigwam Motel in Holbrook continues to welcome Route 66 travelers to its 15 concrete and steel teepees, more than 75 years after it opened.

Clifton Lewis said his father began building the motel in 1946 and opened it in May 1950. The motel closed in 1974 as I-40 pulled traffic off Route 66, and Lewis and his siblings reopened it in 1988.

Each teepee stands 30 feet tall.

A night costs about $120, compared with $4 per bed when the motel opened. “It’s not a money maker, but we do stay above,” Lewis said.

A Bullseye for This Colombian Coffee Icon

30M+ guests shop at Target every week. That’s 1.5 billion visits per year. Green Coffee Company is perfectly positioned to capture these consumers by growing their presence from 55 to 300+ Target stores after introducing the iconic Juan Valdez coffee brand to store shelves.

And until tonight, you can own a piece of it at $1.10/share.

They hold the exclusive rights to this beloved Colombian coffee brand across the US and Canada, and it’s flying off Target shelves so fast that many locations ran out in a single week. And GCC didn’t stop there.

Other customers include Kroger, Walgreens, and wholesale food giant Goya Foods. Now, they’ve just announced their entrance into Canada’s coffee market through Maxi and No Frills, two major banners under Loblaws, the country’s biggest food retailer.

After achieving 26X revenue growth in four years and already hitting their 3,000-location goal this year, GCC is scaling quickly. Final call to invest at $1.10/share before the share price changes after tonight, 9/30.

Colombia’s Most Prized Coffee Beans are Coming to America

70% of Americans prefer Colombian coffee. After six decades of dominating Colombia’s coffee scene, the world-renowned brand Juan Valdez is relaunching into the $100B US coffee market.

None of it would be possible without Green Coffee Company (GCC), which holds the exclusive distribution rights to Juan Valdez across the U.S. and Canada.

Juan Valdez pioneered the single-origin coffee category in the U.S., at one point garnering more brand recognition than Nike. Once GCC introduced it to American shelves, its presence grew 445% in Target locations, driven by consumer demand alone.

After beating its 3,000-store goal for the year early, GCC has hundreds more in the pipeline. Final call to invest at $1.10/share before the share price changes after tonight.
