Article Icon 1Fans Throw Flag on ESPN+

Former Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo joined fans to criticize ESPN+’s botched video stream of the ASU vs. Northern Arizona football game on Saturday.

It was the teams’ first meeting while nationally ranked in their respective divisions, with NAU in the DI Football Championship Subdivision rankings for only the second time since 2016.

ESPN said a transmission issue caused viewers to miss most of the second half of No. 11 Arizona State’s 38-19 victory, with the feed often pixelated and blurry.

“Maybe #11 nationally ranked gets a main stream @espn???? I need to watch my boys,” posted Skattebo, who now plays for the New York Giants.

Scottsdale-based Barrett-Jackson Auction Co., known for its high-profile collector car auctions, faces a class action lawsuit after a data breach.

The breach took place on Nov. 25 and potentially exposed customer and employee Social Security numbers, financial data, driver’s license information, and digital signatures.

A spokesman said the company took steps to secure its systems and worked with cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident and prevent future breaches.

An administrative law judge upheld more than $2.3 million in fines against Southwest Airlines for allegedly retaliating against Arizona workers for using paid sick leave.

Southwest plans to appeal, citing its disagreement with the ruling while noting the company offers among the most generous benefit packages in the airline industry.

The dispute arose after some veteran aircraft mechanics received letters from the company after taking large amounts of earned sick time.

An attorney who represents several of the employees called the case a legal and moral issue and noted that the fines continue accumulating each week.
