Gov. Katie Hobbs vetoed legislation that aimed to stop the Chinese government and state-owned enterprises from buying property in Arizona.

Sponsors of the Republican-backed bill say the measure would protect the state’s military, commercial, and agricultural assets from foreign espionage and sabotage.

In her veto letter, Hobbs, a Democrat, called the bill “ineffective at counter-espionage” and claimed it “opens the door to arbitrary enforcement.”

Similar legislation has been introduced in other states.

Article Icon 1Report: Arizona Flunks at Teaching Math

The National Council on Teacher Quality gave Arizona an unacceptable rating for its math teaching, one of seven states given a failing mark.

Heather Peske, the group’s president, called on Arizona to improve teacher training and adopt stricter teacher licensing tests.

States were graded based on five areas of math education and assigned rankings of strong, moderate, weak, or unacceptable. Arizona received unacceptable ratings in four of the five areas.

Other states tagged with the lowest rating were Hawaii, Maine, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, and New Hampshire. Alabama earned the only strong rating.

Months after sandwich chain Eegee’s filed for bankruptcy and closed five sites, Gladstone Capital purchased 25 remaining Tucson and Phoenix locations with plans to keep them open.

Acquisition spokesman Chris Westcott said plans are in place to “reinvigorate the iconic Eegee’s brand while keeping the best of its history.”

Many of the locations will undergo renovations.

Eegee’s financial woes escalated late last year after restaurant supplier Sysco filed a lawsuit seeking more than $1.2 million from the chain.

Andrew McKinley, a local chef from Indiana, had been suffering from tinnitus for over 13 years. The constant ear ringing disrupted his sleep, focus, and daily life—until something unexpected happened.

One evening, Andrew prepared a new dish using a unique blend of ingredients. The moment he took a bite, he noticed the ringing in his ears began to fade. Within minutes, the buzzing got quieter… and then completely vanished.

Shocked and curious, Andrew consulted medical experts. Tests revealed that his dish contained a rare spice known for its powerful neurological benefits. Doctors were stunned—this single spice appeared to calm the nerves responsible for Tinnitus.

Now, researchers say just one tablespoon of this spice may be enough to silence ear ringing for good, without pills, surgery, or expensive treatments.

Over 45,000 people have already tried it with incredible success.
