Article Icon 1Kelly’s Remarks Trigger Pentagon Probe

The Pentagon announced an investigation into U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona over “serious allegations of misconduct” after he challenged the legality of certain military orders and urged troops to refuse them.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the statements by Kelly, a retired U.S. Navy captain, could undermine morale and discipline, and that the Pentagon’s review may result in Kelly being recalled to active duty for a court-martial.

Kelly called the investigation an attempt to intimidate him.

Kelly was one of six Democratic lawmakers featured in a video urging troops to refuse orders they claim are illegal. Last week, President Trump condemned the video as seditious.

A search continued for a man who was swept away by floodwaters in the Agua Fria River in New River on Sunday morning.

Christopher Couch, 53, was driving a Jeep that became trapped, prompting a helicopter rescue of a female passenger.

During the search, deputies found two people stranded in a separate vehicle carried away by fast-moving water. Both climbed to the riverbank and were hoisted to safety.

The search for Couch paused temporarily due to severe weather and hazardous conditions, but resumed Monday morning with crews using drones, boats, and helicopters.

Five people were evaluated at a hospital after fumes in the cockpit and cabin forced a Phoenix-bound American Airlines flight to divert to Houston, Texas. The flight originated in Orlando, Florida.

First responders met the aircraft at the gate in Houston and transported one passenger and four flight attendants to the hospital for evaluation and possible treatment “out of an abundance of caution,” the airline said.

The cause of the odor was not immediately known.

Passengers completed their trip to Phoenix on a different aircraft.

Children are hungry. Let’s change that.

Food.

For those of us who have enough, it’s an easy need to fill. But millions of children go hungry. Their bodies can’t develop, much less their minds. They need a miracle.

You can be their miracle. Your compassionate gift of $30 brings a nutritious meal to three children every school day for one month.

Anita knew hunger firsthand. She loves to sing and aspires to a career in the music industry. She wants to do well in school, but hunger used to distract her and hold her back. That was before Convoy of Hope came to her village in Nepal.

“My family and I didn’t trust outside organizations, because they would leave after a short period of time,” Anita remembers. “But Convoy has done so much. They didn’t just give us food; they taught us to grow it ourselves.”

Many children are going to bed hungry tonight.

But you can change that.

You give. Convoy delivers. And hundreds of thousands of children are fed.
