Article Icon 1Arizona Observes Memorial Day

Hundreds of Arizonans laced up their shoes in downtown Phoenix on Sunday, not for a race, but to carry the weight of remembrance.

The event was part of Carry the Load, a national nonprofit hosting walks in more than 75 communities across the country on Memorial Day. Phoenix participants walked 3.5 miles outside Chase Field, carrying flags, wearing weighted backpacks, and holding photos of fallen soldiers and first responders.

Across the state, Memorial Day weekend brought its usual mix of outdoor fun and holiday observances. Lake Pleasant was expected to hit capacity as crowds chased the water.

On the roadways, more than 2,000 officers fanned out statewide for DUI enforcement, averaging more than 400 arrests over each of the last three Memorial Day weekends.

Article Icon 1Iran Moves World Cup Camp

Iran’s soccer federation will switch its 2026 World Cup training base from Kino Sports Complex in Tucson to Tijuana, Mexico, with FIFA approving the change.

Officials at Kino Sports Complex declined to comment on the decision, which ended what would have been an international soccer presence in southern Arizona. The World Cup runs from June 11 to July 19 in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Iran Football Federation President Mehdi Taj cited potential visa complications and security concerns tied to the Middle East conflict as reasons for the switch. Training in Tijuana will allow Iran’s players to enter the US for match days rather than secure long-term accommodations.

Buffett’s ‘Phone’ Rule Could Make This Company Soar

Warren Buffett famously said that “If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die.”

But what if your phone could do it for you? 📲

That’s exactly what Mode Mobile has created: technology that turns idle phone time into passive income. With 490M+ users in their ecosystem and $1B+ in earnings and savings, their EarnPhone is being called the Uber of smartphones.

With 32,481% revenue growth, they were named the fastest-growing software company in 2023 by Deloitte, and with 7 billion smartphones worldwide their market could be significantly larger than Uber’s.

They’ve just secured their Nasdaq stock ticker $MODE, and you have until Friday to invest in their pre-IPO offering at $0.50/share.

The next Uber? One Shark Tank Investor thinks so

Imagine turning down Uber at a valuation of $10 million, only to watch it go public at over $80 billion. That’s exactly what happened to Mark Cuban.

But fellow Shark Tank investor Kevin Harrington may have learned from Cuban’s mistake, investing early in what investors are calling the Uber of Smartphones.

That company is Mode Mobile, and like Uber did with cars, they’re turning smartphones into income-generating assets. They’ve generated $115M in revenue and helped users earn and save +$1B. And investors have one final opportunity to invest in their pre-IPO offering before their share price changes on Friday.

⚠️ Last chance to invest alongside Kevin Harrington at $0.50/share.
