Bank Robber Accidentally Turns Himself In
A bank robber unknowingly turned himself in when he walked into the Bullhead City Police Department to report himself as the victim of a crime.
Following two January bank robberies in Bullhead City and Kingman, police received a tip after releasing the surveillance footage online. Shortly later, they identified John Steiner, 37, as their suspect.
As Bullhead City Police prepared a warrant, Steiner walked into the lobby to report that someone had pointed a gun at him and accused him on social media of being the bank robber.
Police arrested Steiner on the spot. In his vehicle, they found clothing that matched what was worn during the two robberies, as well as the notes he allegedly used to demand money from the bank tellers.
