Today Host’s Mother Missing

Pima County authorities launched a search and criminal investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today show host Savannah Guthrie.

The 84-year-old was last seen Saturday night at her Tucson home near East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Avenue. A family member reported her missing on Sunday afternoon.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos urged residents to review home camera footage from the days before Guthrie’s disappearance, saying he believes she did not leave on her own.

Search and rescue teams combed the area by ground and air as homicide detectives investigated her residence, citing undisclosed “concerning” circumstances.

Guthrie is 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Authorities said she has no known mental or cognitive impairments, but is without medication she takes daily for an undisclosed physical ailment.

GM: LaFleur Knows ‘Winning Football’

Arizona Cardinals General Manager Monti Ossenfort praised new coach Mike LaFleur, saying, “He understands what winning football looks like and what it takes to achieve it.“

On Sunday, the team concluded its search for a new head coach by hiring the L.A. Rams offensive coordinator to a five-year deal. LaFleur replaces Jonathan Gannon, who was fired after a 15‑36 record over three years.

LaFleur, the 38-year-old brother of Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, joins the Cardinals after three seasons overseeing one of the NFL’s most efficient offenses in yards, points, and passing.

The hiring answers one of several questions for the Cardinals amid uncertainty over quarterback Kyler Murray and the team’s options for the 2026 third overall draft pick.

Study: Arizona Income Tax Among Lowest

An analysis found that Arizona’s flat state income tax rate of 2.5% is among the lowest in the nation.

The BestBrokers study analyzed rates for average and high earners, and ranked states by overall tax burden and marriage penalties.

Nationally, middle-income workers in California and Oregon face some of the nation’s highest rates under progressive tax systems that rise for higher earners. Louisiana and Ohio rank among the lowest. Nine states don’t impose a state income tax.
