Article Icon 1Glendale Man Indicted on Federal Hate-Crime Charge

A federal grand jury in Phoenix indicted Kevin Charles Pyles, 33, of Glendale on a hate-crime charge of intentionally defacing religious property at a Phoenix synagogue.

According to prosecutors Pyles posted an antisemitic flyer on the front door of Sha’arei Shalom Congregation on July 11, 2025. A conviction carries up to one year in prison, a $100,000 fine, or both.

Pyles had previously pleaded guilty in Maricopa County Superior Court to an attempted terrorism-threat charge tied to online threats targeting the Jewish community and the same congregation.

U.S. Attorney Timothy Courchaine said the indictment signals houses of worship will be protected. “This indictment is a message to the community—we will not tolerate the defacement or destruction of any house of worship. Members of the Arizona community should feel free to worship without the fear of harassment,” said Courchaine.

Article Icon 1‘World’s Oldest Rodeo’ Returns to Prescott

Prescott is preparing for Prescott Frontier Days, billed as the “World’s Oldest Rodeo,” which runs June 29-July 5 and draws thousands of visitors each year to celebrate Arizona’s Western heritage.

The 139th annual event features bull riding, barrel racing, and a wild horse race, alongside rodeo royalty. Organizers say performances are sold out, with 17 foreign countries represented.

Local businesses are gearing up for the influx, with this year’s celebration tied to America 250 festivities and one of the state’s largest Fourth of July parades.

Granite Mountain Distillery also released a limited-edition rodeo whiskey, producing 1,888 individually numbered bottles to commemorate the historic celebration.

Article Icon 1Arizona’s 10 Best Lakeside Towns

Outsiders may not immediately equate Arizona with lakeside living, but Arizonans know better. WorldAtlas recently published a travel feature highlighting Arizona’s 10 best lakeside towns, each pairing a reservoir or high-altitude lake with a working downtown and offering relief from summer heat.

The list spans Page on Lake Powell, Bullhead City and Parker along the Colorado River, and Meadview, the gateway to Grand Canyon West and the Hualapai Skywalk above the canyon.

Several picks sit in the White Mountains and Rim Country, including Show Low, Pinetop-Lakeside, Springerville, and Payson, which layer trout fishing onto ponderosa pine forests at elevations near 7,000 feet.

Rounding out the selections are Prescott, known for Watson Lake and the Granite Dells, and Safford, home to Roper Lake beneath 10,724-foot Mount Graham.

Big Money Gets In Pre-IPO in AI

AI stocks now make up about 45% of the S&P 500. But the biggest breakout gains often happen because investors got in before companies went public.

In AI, big money increasingly moves sooner. In 2025, 67% of private-stage investments were in AI companies, up from 9% in 2022. But those opportunities are almost always reserved for the 1%.

Restaurant robotics pioneer Miso Robotics isn’t, and 44K+ everyday folks like you have already joined big money players like Ecolab as investors.

Miso’s Flippy Fry Station AI restaurant kitchen robot has logged 200K+ hours in kitchens across the $1T fast-food industry. Its tech is used by big-name customers like White Castle, Jersey Mike’s, Cinnabon, and more. And Miso just acquired 300+ patents from a food robotics early-mover that raised $450 million.

Flippy alone represents a $4B/year revenue opportunity in the US. Invest before Miso hits its $2.5M raise target for June. Hurry for bonus shares.
