Article Icon 1ICE Disputes Rep’s Claim

Federal authorities disputed U.S. Rep. Adelita Grijalva’s claim that she was pepper-sprayed while protesting an illegal immigration raid on Friday in Tucson.

The raid at Taco Giro was one of many across southern Arizona that were part of a broader illegal immigration and tax investigation that led to the arrest of 46 people.

The newly elected Grijalva, D-Tucson, said she was sprayed and pushed aside by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents while she was trying to ask questions.

An ICE spokesperson said Grijalva “was in the vicinity of someone who was pepper-sprayed as they were obstructing and assaulting law enforcement.”

The federal government gave final approval to Arizona’s broadband plan, clearing the way to bring high-speed internet to more rural and tribal areas.

The plan will bring coverage to more than 160,000 homes, schools, and other buildings as part of a $967 million project, with $447 million paid for by federal funds.

The Trump administration began granting final funding approval to states’ broadband plans last month after making changes, including elevating satellite internet as an option.

Construction is expected to start early next year.

Article Icon 1Tempe Eyes Drink-Spiking Law

Tempe is considering Arizona’s first local ordinance requiring bars and clubs to provide drink spiking test kits and protective tools, including drink covers.

The measure aims to curb a crime that Tempe police say goes unreported 90% of the time. In 2024, Tempe reported 23 cases.

Compliance would cost businesses an estimated $300 to $400 annually, to be offset by a partial rebate on liquor license fees.

The city invites the public to comment via an online survey.

Gold has been stealing the headlines all year… but the quiet story almost no one is talking about is silver.

The price of silver quietly doubled in 2025—and the reason has nothing to do with Wall Street hype.

Silver isn’t just a precious metal. It’s an industrial necessity. Solar panels, EVs, medical tech, electronics—they all consume silver, and once it’s used, it’s gone for good.

Supply is falling short, demand keeps climbing, and analysts now believe silver’s supply crunch could create another massive silver boom in 2026.

Anchor Point Research just released The Silver Report, a free special report that breaks this all down in plain English:

  • Why do many experts call silver the most undervalued metal today

  • Why analysts see silver with far greater upside than gold

  • How industrial demand is creating a structural shortage

  • How to get started investing in silver
