More Canadians Sell Homes

More Canadians are selling their second homes in Arizona due to tougher U.S. visitation rules and strained U.S.-Canada relations.

New travel requirements include the Trump administration’s decision to enforce a rule requiring Canadians to register with U.S. immigration services if in the U.S. for more than 30 days. “They’re not sure how easy it will be to get here and stay at their house,” said Sindy Ready, president of the Arizona Association of Realtors.

Canadians top the list of foreign home buyers in the U.S., with most of their purchases made in Florida and Arizona, according to the National Association of Realtors.
